Bachelor of Science in Nursing - Accelerated

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing - Accelerated (BSN) focuses on the knowledge, values, and skills needed for professional nursing practice. Students gain experience with individuals of all ages, as well as with families and communities in a wide variety of clinical settings. Clinical experiences reflect the complex and diverse nature of today's complex health care system. Leadership abilities for managing nursing care in hospitals and other health care settings are developed. Current ethical, legal, social, and political issues affecting nursing practice and health care are studied and the value of nursing research for professional practice is emphasized. The program provides a foundation for graduate study in nursing.
